Joan’s update

Just wanted all of you to know that Jerry is unable to update his blog for a while so I am doing it for him.   About 10 days ago he became quite confused and is spending a major amount of the day sleeping.   He’s really not hungry but is still drinking some liquids.

We continue to have lots of visitors and about 40 people from church came by yesterday and sang several songs for him since we are unable to go to church.   So nice of them to bring church here!

Marrie is here for a few days so that has been a big help.

Spirits are good and we continue to feel held in the palm of His hand.

Love,

Joan

  1. Ginger and I want you to know we think about you everyday, praying for the grace to help in time of need. But, also remembering the rich fellowship we have had. One of the mighty has fallen. If he is able to understand, please let him know we are thinking about him.

  2. Thank you so much for writing, Joan. You both are much on our minds and in our prayers. I was really encouraged by your facebook comments of the support from friends and church. You both are loved so much – Yes, He has you in the palm of his hand. I’m glad you sense that secure love that passes understanding.

  3. It is so kind of you to think of all of us who wish we could be with you–thank you for sharing some of what your days hold. So glad to hear Marrie is with you. Hugs to all of you. Love, Sue

  7. Joan,

Thank you for the update. You are both in my daily prayers and I have been keeping Jerry on the monthly Mass prayer list.

  8. Bless you Joanie for thinking of others, you are a wonder. Hank and I are so touched by the way you and Jerry have handled this situation. You are both such an inspiration. You are both in my prayers. With love, Mary B.

  9. We too were blessed to have the opportunity to sing praise songs to our awesome God with you all at your house. You and Jerry continue to be such wonderful mentors to the rest of us, especially in the areas of trusting God and seeking His path.
    We love you.

  10. Thinking about you all, and sending you so much love.

  11. Joan,

You and Jerry are in our prayers here in Virginia. I just returned from 2 months in China and had not heard from you for awhile. Your email address dropped out for some reason. Please tell my old friend one of the riff raff from the river said hey, Jim Patchett also asked about him. Drop me an email if you have time. lrosgen14@aol.com.

Best Regards and May God Bless you
    Lou
