Marrie and Michael got in some relaxing time while they were here after Michael and his dog climbed Pagosa Peak earlier in the day, while the others went tubing on the San Juan River in town. M&M left to go back a while ago as Michel has to be at work at 7:00 AM tomorrow. He is a dialysis nurse at Mercy Hospital in Grand Junction, while Marrie is a social worker there in the emergency room. (Actually this is Michael’s parent’s porch swing. They had a family reunion for Michael’s family in Ohio over the 4th of July. 9 out of 10 of Michael’s siblings made it.)

Hi, uncle Jerry,
I am so pleased you got this time to spend with all the kids and their families this July. It was good seeing you over the 4th. Just got back with Norm from Cataract last night, we had a delightful time, thought about our time together when we went the first time back in 2001. Norm rigged a nice motor mount for my Cat for me, it worked well for the 5 boats we had. It took us about 8 hours in the flat water with some head wind in the afternoon. Everything went well though Norm almost flipped on the last rapid of the day it was either 27 or 28 after he had smooth rides through the big drops on 21, 22, and 23. We had good company and good food and fellowship, it was awesome running it in the mid-7000′s, simply delightful and technical. Love you and miss you a lot on our trips, we caught a huge catfish too, it was close to 5 pounds I think, Dr. Hurley’s daughter, Megan, a nice young Christian gal caught it with Norm’s help.
Blessings,
Uncle Ern
